The Trafalgar Royal Arch Chapter No. 157 SC

Trafalgar Royal Arch Chapter is No. 157 of the Scottish Constitution. It was formed on 8th October 1874 and has authority from the Supreme Grand Chapter to confer the 17 Degrees in Royal Arch Freemasonry.

Trafalgar meets at the Nelson-Tasman Masonic Centre on the second Tuesday of the months of February, April, June, August, October and December. Standing committee is held one week earlier also on a Tuesday. Installation takes place on the second Saturday in September each year.

Trafalgar has its own Cryptic Council No.157 SC, Royal Ark Mariners Lodge No.157 SC and Lodge & Council No.157 SC.  Consequently in addition to the Mark Degree, Excellent Degree and Royal Arch Degree it carries out ceremonies for the Degrees of the Captivity (also known as the Red Cross or Babylonish Pass).

Trafalgar is fortunate in having its own Piper and delights in honouring the Haggis once a year, with members wearing various tartans and enjoying toasts with true Scottish whisky.
